Pastor Bryan Ayer
Bryan and his wife Miranda have been married 15 years and have two children, Adeline and Noah. Bryan has served at Holmes Avenue the last 9 years as Pastor. Bryan is bi-vocational and in addition to pastoring at Holmes Avenue works for Charleston Southern University. Miranda’s career is in the medical field as a nurse. Bryan has served in ministry for the last 13 years as a worship leader, youth leader, and pastor. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Charleston Southern University and a Master of Divinity degree in Christian Ministry through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Walter Brigman
Walter and his wife Kelly have been married for 12 years. They have two children, Perry and Molly. Walter has served at Holmes for several years before being called to be a pastor. Walter has over a decade of ministry experience including revitalization and church planting efforts in the state of SC. Walter earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Studies from Charleston Southern University and recently earned his Master of Divinity in Preaching and Pastoral Ministries from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Trisha Taylor
Holmes Kids Director
Trisha has lived in North Charleston for the majority of her life and absolutely loves the Park Circle area. She is bi-vocational and in addition to being the Holmes Kids Director at HABC, works for the North Charleston Fire Department on the Logistics team. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Winthrop University in Sociology concentrated on Criminology. She has worked with children numerous times over the years, and through that, God has grown a desire in her heart to reach children for Him. Cory Wester
Worship Leader
Cory is passionate about music, the writings of C.S. Lewis, Church History, and Christian apologetics. He is a 2024 graduate of Charleston Southern University and is pursuing his Master of Divinity through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He plans to continue his education by earning a Ph.D. in Christian Apologetics or Church History. Cory Wester
Thomas Hill
Thomas Hill and his wife, Kenara, exchanged vows in June 2021, and they share four children: Gino, Izzie, Mateo, and Gabriel. Thomas has resided in Charleston for the past three decades and has been a member of Holmes Avenue since 2021. Thomas harbors a deep passion for mental well-being and envisions pursuing further education in biblical counseling.
Orion Flanagan
Orion Flanagan is originally from Tampa, Florida and moved to Charleston on military orders from USAF with hopes of commissioning and becoming a chaplain. Married to his wife Fabiana, with two dogs and has an interest in Christian history, Christian apologetics and counseling.
