Pastor Team
Bryan Ayer, Lead Pastor
Bryan and his wife Miranda have been married 13 years and have two children. Bryan has served at Holmes Avenue the last 7 years as Community Pastor before transitioning to Lead Pastor. Bryan is bi-vocational and in addition to being Lead Pastor of HABC, works for the City of North Charleston. Miranda’s career is in the medical field as a nurse. Bryan has served in ministry for the past 11 years as a worship leader, youth leader, and pastor. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Charleston Southern University and a Master of Divinity degree through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Walter Brigman, Pastor Discipleship & Missions
Walter and his wife Kelly have been married for 11 years. They have two children, Perry and Molly. Walter has served at Holmes for several years before being called to the position of discipleship and missions pastor. Walter has over a decade of ministry experience including revitalization and church planting efforts in the state of SC. Walter earned a degree in Christian Studies from Charleston Southern University and is currently pursuing a degree in Preaching and Pastoral Ministries from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Ciara Jordan, Worship Leader
Ciara joined our team in September 2023. Ciara and her husband Zach were married in June 2023 (and will be adding a little one in March 2024). Ciara served on the worship team at her previous church for close to five years playing a variety of instruments, singing, and even was a worship intern for almost 3 years. She earned a degree in Music Therapy from Charleston Southern University. Ciara and Zach are eager to serve the Lord faithfully at Holmes and build His Kingdom for His glory, honor, and praise. Trisha Taylor, Holmes Kids Director
Trisha has lived in North Charleston for the majority of her life and absolutely loves the Park Circle area. She is bi-vocational and in addition to being the Holmes Kids Director at HABC, works for the North Charleston Fire Department on the Logistics team. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Winthrop University in Sociology concentrated on Criminology. She has worked with children numerous times over the years, and through that, God has grown a desire in her heart to reach children for Him.
